Introduction of Surah Al-Waqiah
The word Al-Waqiah is found in 96 verses and is the chapter 56 of the Quran. The word “Al-Waqiah” means the event or day of reckoning. It interprets the concept of people being grouped into three kinds: those nearest to Allah, the people of the right-hand, the righteous ones, and the left-hand, the horrible ones. It emphasizes the reward of paradise upon good persons and punishment for those rejecting God’s word. As usual, the surah reminds Muslims of God’s greatness along with the afterlife, making a man careful about his doing and prepared for Judgment Day.
