Introduction of Surah At-Tahrim
The 66th chapter of the Quran, Surah At-Tahrim, consists of 12 verses. It covers private concerns about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his family, revealed in Madinah. The chapter advises believers to put faith and righteousness first in everything relating to the home and personal life. The term “At-Tahrim” translates as “The Prohibition,” referring to the Prophet’s (PBUH) choice to restrict certain things for himself, which Allah later corrects and addresses in this Surah.
