Introduction of Surah Qariah
It is the 101st chapter in the Qur’an, containing 11 verses. The term “Al-Qariah” is just an expression of the concept of Judgment Day, when an earth-shaking accident will suddenly sweep down. It shows that people will appear scattered like moths on that day while mountains appear as yarn Carded. All these verses affirm that on that day, the deeds of every individual will be weighed. Those whose good deeds are ample will be in a life of ease, while those whose scales will be light will have a dreadful doom. It is this that reminds poignantly of preparation for the afterlife.
