Introduction of Surah An-Naml
Surah An-Naml is the 27th surah in the Holy Qur’an, consisting of 93 ayat. This surah is titled “An-Naml,” meaning “The Ants,” and is taken from the story of Nabi Sulaiman and his extraordinary insight into understanding the language of ants. The miracles given to Sulaiman and how wisely he applied these are narrated herein. It also tells the narratives of other Prophets like Musa and Lut, showing that he should always tread Allah’s right path. The surah pulls one into remembrance of Allah’s might and the magic of His work and to be thankful and reflective upon his deeds, which anticipate the Day of Judgment. It enjoins belief in Allah and leading a righteous life.
