Introduction to Surah Al-Anam
It is the sixth chapter and contains 165 verses. The meaning of its name, “The Cattle,” refers to the discussion of the lawful and unlawful dietary practices in Islam. This Surah addresses a wide range of issues, among them the oneness of Allah, prophethood, and the consequences of disbelieving. Emphasis was laid in this Surah on the points concerned with adhering to Divine Guidance, faith, and rejecting polytheism and false beliefs.
