Introduction of Surah Ad-Dukhan
Surah Ad-Dukhan is the 44th Surah of the Quran and comprises 59 verses. It is entitled “Ad-Dukhan,” an Arabic word which translates to “The Smoke,” referring to one of the verses dealing with the Day of Judgment. It starts by mentioning the importance of the Quran, which was sent down during the blessed night and has generally been interpreted as Laylat al-Qadr. Accounting for this, Surah also tells about Prophet Musa and how Allah saved the Israelites from the tyranny of Pharaoh. This Surah tells us about the power of Allah, that this world is impermanent, and that Allah’s guidance must be desired before the Day of Judgment.
